Drawing New Eyebrows for Daria
Daria is an amazing TPE 100 cm doll. If you don't know about her, she has an extensive timeline that documents everything she has done at TDF -Daria's Photo Timeline
I think that with all the touch-ups, Daria's eyebrows "migrated" from their original position and became much more arched.
I put off redoing Daria's eyebrows because I was terrified that I would draw even worse ones.
I eventually conquered my fear and pushed forward.
I am documenting what I did in case there are others out there like me who are afraid to go for new eyebrows.
First, odourless mineral spirits was used to completely remove her existing eyebrows.
Odourless mineral spirits is amazing stuff for removing stains and old makeup. It will also completely remove the vendor painted parts like eyebrows, lipstick, and areolas.
There is a write up about its stain removing capabilities here - How To Remove TPE Stains in less than 10 seconds Then, create a template of the new eyebrows.
I looked at lots of pictures and decided I wanted flatter eyebrows that angled slightly upwards before curving.
I drew the right eyebrow, cut it out, and then flipped it over to trace an identical left eyebrow.
You could also download and print some templates from the web, but you will then need to play with the scale to get them the right size. Transfer the template to the doll.
The paper sticks quite well to the newly cleaned TPE skin,
Take a makeup brush and dab black eye shadow on the template. It does not have to be dark. This is just to transfer the pattern to the doll. The pattern is now transferred. Now colour the eye-brows.
I used a black and a brown eye-liner pencil.
You don't want to colour it too perfectly, Go outside the lines a bit. Inter-mix the brown and black. From a distance this will give a nice impression of hair. Now Daria wants to show off her new look.
I hope this post is helpful to others, who like me were too afraid to completely redo eyebrows.
Thanks,
scooter
p.s. I'm completely biased but I think Daria looks fabulous.

I've never heard of sealing TPE make-up. Is this possible?siliconefun wrote:Well done scooter_ca

I doubt I would do it though. I would like to be able to change it down the road.
At some future date her eyebrows many be dark and bushy, or thin and blonde, depending on our mood.
Thanks,
scooter
