In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.
In practice, there is.

That's crazy good, Dutch! How much practice did those take?

I've been doing this for years.

I am not particularly interested in bondage, but had a girlfriend who enjoyed it. She got me interested in it and I learned that there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. Safety is important, so one must learn the proper knots and techniques to prevent compressing nerves or cutting off circulation. In learning the basics, I found I really love the artistry of the knots and patterns. Some are very elaborate and decorative, and I enjoy learning how to do them.

I moved a few years ago, so have not been in touch with my friend. Then I got the idea of using the doll to practice with.

It is a bit of a challenge. She can't help get into position. She doesn't hold her position when pulling a rope against her, and so forth. But there are some similarities. Although nerve damage and circulation are not issues, one must still be mindful of compression and abrasion (rope burn). Rope doesn't slide across TPE the way it does against human skin.

So it is still a learning experience. The only way to perfect a craft is to practice, practice, practice.

I'll keep adding here as I go.
Thanks for the kudos!

There is no problem with your camera. The pictures are great.
I would love to see some with a darker mood by turning off the lights, with just one light illuminating from the side.

The knots are beautiful.
How long does it take to tie something like the the Dragonfly Tie?

Thanks,
scooter
