Thrift Store Fashion Show

Post by Urdor Izajar »

It seems like every few months someone asks how we got over the nerve to shop for our dolls in person, and every time I tell them to go to a thrift store. But I don't think telling them that really gives them the idea of what we are shopping for. If you have the time, please add a photo of a secondhand item or outfit you purchased for your doll.

Everything they're wearing came from a thrift store. 95% of my doll clothes came from thrift stores.

Thrift stores are some of the best places to shop if you have the time. Got this dress at a thrift shop for $6

Love this. I hit our local Salvation Army once a week looking for clothes and shoes. No one has ever questioned why I am buying womens clothes. I got both these dresses for $5 apiece.

Wow, beautiful blue for two alluring ladies!
What lay behind our joint love of shadows and marvels was, no doubt, the ancient, mouldering, and subtly fearsome town in which we live - witch-cursed, legend-haunted Arkham, whose huddled, sagging gambrel roofs and crumbling Georgian balustrades brood out the centuries beside the darkly muttering Miskatonic.

Fun topic! Pretty much my entire doll wardrobe is supplied by the Good Will store, or as we like to refer to it as Bon Volante! Lol! French name for it.
This jacket worn by Minnuette is one of many lucky finds.

This next photo of Minuette is all Bon Volante stuff. Jacket, shirt, jeans, shoes, necklace all were purchased for under $20.
