Love these pictures, and it's really a beautiful and perfectly balanced doll. I'm especially impressed with how you manage her clothing, how they seem to fit so well on such a small doll. I have a 140 too and like casual clothes, so I know the struggle. It takes a lot of shopping and returns to find the good stuff! Do you modify them or do you just go through a lot to find the gems like I mostly do?

Hi Nord,

I appreciate the complements. I do it like you, spend a lot of time shopping. Mostly online. I have a few dolls, so if I get clothes that don't fit one, they will usually fit one of the other dolls.

I did get a sewing machine thinking I could alter clothes to get a precision fit. But simple alterations isn't something that can be done on very many clothing items. And I discovered that sewing stretchy fabrics is super difficult. I pretty much gave up on the sewing machine at the moment. I may take it back up some time in the future. Maybe I can watch a bunch of YouTube videos and actually learn how to sew instead of just learning by trial and error.

Those pictures are absolutely stunning! So glad they are making a larger version of this doll. Depending on how it turns out I may consider it as a first doll.

I have used hemming web for shortening my stretchy gym shirts. 1,5 cm wide strip that tacks seam with hot iron. Leaves neat springy seam and no glue residue showing.

Wow, Metricnut! !
I was away all August and September so missed the arrival of Katie.
I read through all 8 pages.
Some pictures made me gasp, and many made me moan.
Katie is lovely. Her skinny yet realistic body shape is fantastic.
