Katie and I received some bad news over the weekend.

Due to TDF policies we can no longer post pictures of Katie.

The logical part of me understands the difficult position that TDF management is in, and I support the decision to be pro active and self regulate.

The emotional part of me is feeling sad to know that this is the beginning of the end of the character that is Katie. She will fade into the past and only be a memory on TDF.

The silver lining is that TDF did not delete this thread. I am very grateful for that.

I ask that everyone please don't say anything negative about the good folks that have to make these difficult judgment calls.

Katie and I thank everyone for making this thread so enjoyable while it lasted. Katie will be by my side as I continue to post pictures on my other threads. She is here to stay.

So sorry to hear this. As one of Katie's biggest fans, I can assure you that she will be missed, and will not be soon forgotten. On the same token, I will be forever grateful to her for imparting her exact likeness into Avril (the SM156A); in doing so, she has done (a notable portion of) the doll community a great service. Katie was not just a star, but a shooting star, who blazed a bright path leading us to Avril, who continues to shine on. Katie's time here was not in vain.

... and with any luck, we'll still see Katie at the doll meets! Right...? RIGHT? (*Cocks a brow and leans in closer, expectantly awaiting confirmation.)

Thank you, this also describes how difficult it is for staff to make these decisions. I really do appreciate your understanding, the logical part and the sad part.

Sorry to hear that, Metric. The sculpt of Katie is wonderful and I am sure none of us envy staff for having to make such decisions. The general public is starting to be aware of our existence and as the searchlight on dolls is growing wider and stronger steps will have to be taken to protect the community and it’s continuing existence. This does not necessarily have anything to do with one exact doll but more of a general precaution to avoid trouble and to prevent unnecessary and unwanted publicity.

I hope we will see more of your wonderful photos in the future and other doll personalities that will rise up from casa Metricnut.

would have been smarter to make the site a members only site so no nonmembers could see any pictures. this sounds like a knee jerk reaction not a well thought out one. what's next all 140's?
