Advice on good perfume stores?

Post by yellowsubmarine »

Hi! I seen on a few threads people asking about perfumes, and where to find them for cheap or reasonable prices. I responded to a few of these posts, but felt it would be better of I just removed those posts and started a thread. I didn't know where to post this, so I figured I'd ask if anyone was interested in me starting a thread here on sites I know from experience to have good, reasonably priced scents to help your male or female dolls smell real. Or even how to make them smell like they've got just showered skin, or sweaty from having just had sex.

Let me know if you're interested, and I'll go ahead and just start my list here.

EDIT: This thread will help you on making your doll not just smell pretty, but also smell like she has real skin. I also will post how to make a male doll smell like a male doll. And I will post a link to a recipe for any do-it-yourselfer.

First, you could go to the mall or buy online from http://www.bathandbodyworks.com for that girl in the club smell. If you're confused on what scent you want, try their fragrance studio. Be warned, just stick to their perfumes and their antibacterial soaps, anything else may contain oils. I use the Warm Vanilla Sugar alot.

Second, and I mentioned this in another thread, try http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com for scents. Especially layering their RPG scent in Neutral with other scents for that just showered skin smell, not to mention they have a scent of every kind, and they sell samples if you aren't certain of what you want. I have a few of their scents and got my husband the Hellboy scent for a cologne as it matches his personality, and plan on getting the Courtney scent for his doll. They have some victorian inspired, gothic, and Steampunk inspired perfumes among others as well.

Third, try http://www.jlist.com/product/OMO388. It's a spray designed for lovedolls to make them smell like a girl had/having sex. Just so you know, it does take a while for this shop to sometimes ship, so be prepared for the wait.

Fourth, a custom pheromone base website: http://www.truepheromones.com/custom-mix-page-35. If you're not careful, it can get pricey, but with this product, less is more. In fact, they advise using as little as possible for the most natural effect.

Fifth, a good site for recipes if you still can't find exactly what you want: http://www.pioneerthinking.com/beauty/p ... cipes.html. Recipes for colognes, perfumes, and aftershave.

Last, I noticed ToyDemon has some lubes that suposedly smell just like a girl.

Have fun, and if there's any sites anyone else wants to post, go ahead, I would love to check them out too! :D

Sure, yellowsubmarine, this is a good place to start; feel free to share your info here.

A while ago, TDF member narcissus was also doing a lot of perfume investigating and sampling, and made a few topics in the Open Forum which should also be of interest:

Unisex and Gender Specific Fragrances

Fragrance Finders and Fragrance Sample sites (Macy's and Sephora)

My experience with deepdiscount.com

Ive been collecting perfumes from the Dollar Store. They are made by a company named European American Designs, and mixed together in India. They cover close matched to just about all of the popular name brand perfumes out there. I have collected a copy of the Britney Spears, a Victoria Secret, a Paris Hilton, and a Carolina Herrera. THey are really nicely packaged, with a good size bottle. Ive been around perfumes and scent technology for awhile..and have to say very impressed with this collection. They smell GREAT, and for the price can collect a bunch. Check em out

How to store perfume? Is it worth keeping them in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, or there is no sense to bother and they may be stored anywhere? Read on http://www.perfume101samples.com/ that too much heat can disturb the delicate balance of aromatic oils and change their smell. I understand that sprays are less susceptible to contact with air than perfume in a bottle with a twist-off lid, but even the most intense essence eventually loses its flavor.
