First Sex Toys
First Sex Toys
What I'm wondering at the moment is if other people's experiences are similar to my own, particularly how you first got into sex toys, ie your experience getting your first toy. Did you buy it yourself or was it a gift? Where did you get it from? What sort of toy was it and how was your first experience using your first sex toy?

Re: First Sex Toys
About 5 years ago, I got a fleshlight and finally got to appreciate toys. It took a few months for me to transition from the death grip. But I hated the bulk of the fleshlight. The Japanese hand held toys are my favorite.
I still use toys more than dolls due to energy/laziness. But I love holding my dolls and staring while doing so.

Re: First Sex Toys
First off, I am cis with a father figure that went to Randy Savage to Italian stallion.
So thinking to touch any sex toys would have never cross my mind in my early twenties.
Tenga did his big debut in like 2012 (???) when I notice that it wasn't just some crude-plastic-tube-thing or the gag cheap inflatable dolls.
And it was the Flip hole I've seen in ad in Japan; that thing fascinated me to no end.
It was like rocketship science when I looked at it...but still wasn't really able to shell out 250$ at the time, just to try it or actually know what the crap was that thing so darn popular back then. Like some sort of revolution.
Months later I though to myself "why the heck not?", "why not see was the big deal of plastic porn?" I will laught it off either way after when I'll go and talk to my friends of it. Some sort of seen it, been there, was my way of thinking about it. For fun, that's it.
But back then, buying stuff, at home, with the family and all... was hell as an idea to hide, so it took me forever to actually go into a sex shop, not being notice by my diseappearance and ask them for some stuff.
That first time I dare to enter the shop on a sunday morning.
It was in a big market OPEN place, people who was just crossing to get in or out, right beside one of the entrance and on the left was the sex shop just a couple of meters and it front of a barber shop...I was just so easily flustered at the time.
It was just too much and I couldn't decide on anything.
At that time I wasn't even able to get on 3rd base with a girl so I wasn't even sure what to even need.
So it went pretty much me asking question about "why people need it?" and so on... It was a poor attempt in overall. Didn't like it, brush it off as a waste of time.
A couple years later I stumbled on internet sites promoting kegel and prostate stimulation. A first, I was really doubting this...but the more I read about it the more it made sense.
And the fact that the toy was little and weird looking was a good excuse. Versus those big ass flesh lights that stood out like a beacon at the time.
To say that it was part of my plastic toy collection or some sort of sock hanger was less precarious.
I was just starting to have a real job so I went for it under the secret way of the net and dare to try it.
Now any anal experience, like many men who are prone to women, it's a no-no, especially in my family.
My mom would've find it out and concluded I was gay, never told her anyway or did IF she did found out never talked about it.
In overall, it wasn't a bad experience, just curiosity and inexperience led me to think that I was scammed.
So I ask more question about anal sex. Other users talked about the feel or how the little plastic thing was doing something.
Then I concluded, I never did find my P-spot.
By reading better experienced users they stated that it was probably because I was tall...which was right.
So I ditched the trombone and went to rods then plugs...and boy was I surprised. I felt guilty by liking it, a lot.
Couldn't talk about it aside from forums. I felt stumped because my usual friends were doing it with their woman and all. I felt shame and regret for actually liking some "gay thing".
But, not to worry, I removed this mentality later on because of how other people who understood my quarrel.
This community helped me open myself to what is a sex toy and what good purpose it can lead to. Gender liking aside.
I wasn't still into personal masturbators or fond of the idea of replacing the real deal to something else.
I was into my girlfriend in 2013 so the real thing versus the other was out of the question.
I never dared or gave the chance to talk about my dirty little secret to her too.
2015 was the year I discovered what were dolls...a lot of documentary went on the net and I am still fascinated by the technology that is just getting better and better each year.
Sadly, I find it still out-of-price to what I want to this day.
And this year, I am trying to find alternatives, since only a few options are tempting me aside the dream of having a Real Love Doll from Orient Industries.
So I am trying a couple of fancy frotteurs; started with the eggs of Tenga and something high-tech like the Lovesense Max.
Re: First Sex Toys
Second one looked like an inchworm on the outisde--so I figured there'd be some stimulation inside. But inside there were bladders that ran lengthwise along it, and there was a pump so you could tighten it up once you were inserted, and there was a bullet-type vibe on the head-end. Again, I found almost no feeling inside, and the vibe did nothing for me.
Third one looked like a frankenstein avocado, but caucasian-flesh colored (they all were). This one had nubs inside, and I figured THAT would do the trick. It also had two vibes, one on the head end and the other at the entrance, supposedly to stimulate your balls. The nubs were rock hard so with lube, you just glided over them as if they were a panel--no sensation. Without lube it was like trying to hump a cactus. The two vibes were intersting because they had separate controls and you could get interference patterns going up and down your shaft--but while that was amusing, it wasn't sexually stimulating for me.
These all smelled like inflatable pool toys, which didn't help at all.
I used to know the names of these things and could find them still for sale, but thank God, we appear to have moved past them.
Next one looked like a can of strawberry jello. Very, very rubbery and super stretchy. They'd cast the internal using a long, 1/4" machine bolt. It was super stretchy so you *could* penetrate it, but it was a hell of a chore, and very difficult if you had lube on your hands because you couldn't keep hold of it. I also inadvertantly launched it the first few times, because it was to tight it would violently contract and fling itself off me. That was fun but not good for maintaining a hardon.
About that time I finally put down the $ and got one of the early Fleshlights. It had its pros and cons but overall, it did the job *ahem*. I had a couple more different toys since then and have had much better experiences. Modern materials smell much better, feel much better, and they design them for their true function (fuckability) much better. They used to be "novelties" in every sense of the word.
I could discuss my experience with dolls, but the story is largely the same.
Toys and dolls both take some getting used to. You have to find the right one for you, and you have to make some mental adjustments to accommodate them. There's more of a learning curve than people want to admit or usually discuss.

Luna arrived in Sept. 2017, but I don't think of her as a sex toy. She's my partner and lover.
