Eyebrows

Post by Taylr »

Does anyone have a source anywhere on this rotating orb, where I can find false eyebrows? I am redoing mannequins and want to add more realisim.

Merci

On the Web, the business called Headcovers Unlimited has very realistic eyebrows. They are pricey, but of very good quality. :)

Thank you for the tip. You are right, they are pricey. However, they would work for the mannequins that I want to make special, with glass eyes and such. I might try their eyebrow 'tatoos' for a one of them, just to see how that would look.

Thanks for the lead. http://www.headcovers.com/cosmetics/eyebrows/ I've been looking for to get some 'brows for Sharon the painted ones don't work too well on close ups.

A little off topic, but I had to share: Somehow I came across this in my search for eyebrows: http://shatnerstoupee.blogspot.com/

Kinda keeping on topic, can any advice me painted vs planted eyebrows. I would like to add planted on my order but I just want to know if they are more likely to fall out and leave the doll looking 'odd'.

Hi Taylr,

I've tried 3 different styles of eyebrow tattoos on Sammie and to be honest I'm not all that impressed with them.
I tried a technique with silicone caulk and a toothpick that rendered a pretty good result on my test panel...
I posted it on page 12 of the MQ mod thread: http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... &start=165

The eyebrow tattoos tend to look fake and painted on whereas the caulk technique actually looks like 3d hair.

My first thought was who the hack grows and shaves his eyebrows for sale, then I read the product info and saw they were fake :)) DOH!

They're from a Special Effects shop.

They also sell human hair and hair punching tools, and have free tutorial videos if you want your eyebrows hand punched.
