Realistic silicone love dolls by Matt McMullen. RealDoll is the oldest and most well known love doll to which all others compare. Includes Boytoys. Website: realdoll.com
Zebo is probably the best one to answer this, but maybe some of the others out there can shed some light on this one as well…
Purchasing a Real Doll can certainly be a waiting game and the excitement can certainly build when you hear from Abyss that your doll is finally in production. From there, the longing and impatience can really kick in as you wonder how much longer it's going to be. The answers from Abyss tend to be a bit cryptic as it can be "in production," "in full production," or "in finishing stages." There's certainly plenty of steps in the creation like creating the skeleton, pouring the body, attaching the head, finishing details (fingernails, hair, etc.), etc. How do those status updates match up with stages in production? Does "full production" mean there's finally a silicone body or does it mean the paperwork has been given to the artists to begin?
I'm curious for an explanation of that status to try and get a better feel for where the order is in the production process and how much time is left until completion.
This is where I get into trouble! In production means you are on the pour schedule, in full production means your doll has been poured and is on the curing rack. In the finishing stage means your body is on the finishing rack and your head is being worked on by the make-up artist. However, your doll can encounter setbacks from Expresses, Illness, Vacations, Holidays and yeah the occasional mistakes in the production schedule in all of the phases........shit happens! So I am not stepping on this landmine, sorry
A never ending parade of beautiful Realdolls and of course, HARMONY!!
Thanks for the informative answer, Zebo. I don't blame you for not wanting to say anything on timeframes so nothing to be sorry for there. Good art can't be rushed and like you said, sometimes shit happens that can't be predicted.
At the very least, it sheds a lot of light on what's happening on the production side and why it can take a while to get from one stage to the next.
Well, perhaps others who have already successfully completed the process can share the amount of time it took for them to go from "In Production" to opening the crate so at least there is sme anecdotal evidence to look at.
