When I got Sunni, she was shipped in the old style RD crate with a padlocked door via Seko Worldwide with no problems. That was almost 5 years ago but I don't see why it would be an issue. If they wanted to get in, they could disassemble the crate around the door. Of course, all you have to do is ask.

A little quality control?

1/2" hook 6" long? My God man, you trying to hang a Harem? The odds of hitting a 1 1/2" stud (2x4) with a 1/2" hook are not very conducive to gambling...

The thing I would be leary of from this approach is the 1stPC silicone is not even in the same ballpark as RD silicone. I would not recommend mixing them. I don't think this can be stressed this strong...
