6YE 150B Review

I've had my 150B for about 8 weeks so I thought it was time for a review. This is my first TPE doll. I have 2 silicone dolls (a Starpery 171A and a Piper Doll [REDACTED DUE TO BOARD RULES]. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to get any proper photos. I will update the review if I manage to do that...

I have a 6YE 150B on the way. I'll post some first impressions once I have it.

Re: Questions regarding bodies

Just be aware that unless they have improved the paint they use in the last few months it will fade from the nipples and labia very quickly (mine was very noticeably faded within a few days). As for the hard head, sure you can kiss it but it is very hard. I have another doll with a soft silicone hea...

Re: Starpery 171A review & thoughts from a first time doll b

Thanks skybird, some good insights there. I totally understand what you mean about the disappointment when you get the doll. I think part of it is just the psychology of being hyped for anything - it's often very hard for the reality to live up to expectations. With a doll it's easy to imagine all t...

Re: Silicone peeling after a "blister" tore open

Eek! "anything that goes into her vagina comes out covered in bits of silicone" Assuming plenty of lube was used but that is not supposed to happen I did use lots of water based lube. And when I put a drying stick in after cleaning it was completely covered in the stuff. I then realized i...

Re: Silicone peeling after a "blister" tore open

Talk to your vendor before attempting any repair. Photograph everything. I did. I sent them photos of the blister (which I had taken right after I unboxed her) and of the peeling that I noticed today. I'm waiting to see what they say but in the mean time I thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas. T...

Silicone peeling after a "blister" tore open

I just got a new silicone doll yesterday (Piper Doll if that makes a difference). I noticed that it had what looked a bit like a blister on its back (right around the area where regular silicone and the "soft butt" silicone intersect). Today I noticed that it has torn open and the "sk...

The articulated fingers on mine function perfectly but they do poke through the silicone very easily. I have Permatex on several of her fingertips. A hard hand option would be nice.

Re: Starpery 171A review & thoughts from a first time doll b

Thank you for this very honest and informative review. I think it will be useful to many because it clearly addresses all the practical issues. Out of curiosity I am wondering how many pounds the lighter doll you ordered is. In my opinion, it's a good idea to keep Hedy for a while, since she's very...

Re: 171A Hedy silicone factory photos

Looks amazing. I'm impressed. She looks even better in person but see my review here for the pros and cons: https://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=548&t=145348 I should clarify that the oilyness I referred to in my review dissipated after about three weeks. She still feels very slightly gr...

Re: Starpery 171A review & thoughts from a first time doll b

Ok I’m really serious about getting a doll but this weight issue has me concerned, I handle 80# sacks of masonry pretty regular so that weight doesn’t seem like it would be an issue, but I’m wondering if it’s the weight and actual size of the doll combined that’s the issue? The size / shape / weigh...

Re: Wig vs implanted hair

I am curious to hear from owners of dolls with implanted hair. Wigs are such a pain in the neck to untangle! This.. I think it really depends on where the doll spends most of its time. I would not want implanted hair on a doll that is kept in a bed as it will become tangled relatively quickly. Can ...

Re: Starpery 171A review & thoughts from a first time doll b

An update on the weight: The doll is back out of the box and since I have not been able to weigh her directly I have now weighed the box which was about 16lbs and the accessories were about 2.5lbs, although that was without the blanket that the doll comes with so I'll round the box and accessories u...

Starpery 171A review & thoughts from a first time doll buyer

I got my 171A Hedy a couple of weeks ago and have been meaning to write a review. Unfortunately I don't have any good photos so it'll just be a bunch of text. This is my first ever doll so I don't have anything to compare it to. I am also posting some thoughts as a first time doll buyer on why I thi...

Re: Starpery quality issues

I'm not familiar with the tpe or silicone process, but is there some sort sealing finish, or a final texture application? If so, then why not add the details before that, so they aren't directly on the surface, so to speak? If that isn't the case, perhaps there should be some sort of fixative coati...
