Re: Maddie, the Full-size Ball-Jointed Doll

Update: all parts finished, first coat of spray paint done.

Going to sand out the rough spots, final coat of spray paint, then hand-paint pink (and other colours) over top to give realistic layered skin tones.

Re: Fully Articulated Life Size Action Figures

I've been working on a 5'3" ball-jointed doll on and off for about a year and a half. As far as I can tell this has been done commercially twice in the BJD community, each time for limited runs, with the dolls selling for around $2k. The result is a little less artificial and robotic than the p...

Re: Freckle stencils.

I would get some sheets of acetate (transparency paper, as Zippy said) and punch nice clean, round holes with a leather punch. https://www.amazon.com/Leather-Puncher-Stitching-Punches-Vintage/dp/B00ZTCV88W Something like that. Maddie, the Full-size Ball-Jointed Doll

Hi everyone, I've been planning a life-sized ball-jointed doll for a few years and finally began real work in August. I feel like I finally have something to show for myself. Hopefully this is the right spot for it. If you know another forum where people might be interested to see, please let me kno...

Re: My fiberglass lass

Looks great, i am really leaning towards a mannequin where i am looking for something to admire as a display rather than a sex doll, or a female replacement. Looking for a fantasy character. Have you seen the Hans Boodt Fantasy series? They are not cheap though... Oh wow. I would kill for a poseabl...

Re: My new mannequin with sculpted hair

I normally don't like sculpted hair, but this is great! I love how abstract it is. Doesn't look "fake".

Re: How to make a mannequin head from scratch

Very cool, thanks for the info! I'm on the journey to making a mannequin from scratch and I know the face will be the hardest part. Much respect for what you do.
