Aloha, the connector for the head is just a metal pronge that stick out of the neck 1-2 inches & the heads have the holes that got right on top of it. Yes you can pick up.

That dark towel was a great idea. I couldn't see it until I zoomed in.

KOOP referring to the dusty skin issue. I used scotch tape to remove the dust & some of the grey stains. It worked well for me.
