Re: Finding the right Soldering Iron

I’d get one that has adjustable temperature. They also make the combo soldering iron / hot air gun units like you see on the benches in the doll factorys. This would be all you’ll need except maybe ball tips for the iron: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2in1-898d-Soldering-Iron-Rework-Station-Hot-Air-Gun-...

Re: It's happened --- Nila has a tear.

I bought a hot air station and the damage is not that large. The tension from the skin in her wrist tore small holes in her wrist is all.

Re: It's happened --- Nila has a tear.

If the hole is big, get the supplier for a piece of TPE material for filling. We Luvkis always offer such service in warranty repair. Doc Samara sold me Nila. No warranty on her. I know it's small enough to fix with TPE glue, I just don't know what to do about her wrist. If I fix it with the glue, ...

Re: It's happened --- Nila has a tear.

I tried editing the previous post, but I couldn't. This is an update bump and also, I think I've found an issue (well, more an issue because it's likely the cause of her wrist split. The right wrist is fine and dandy. https://i.imgur.com/nB1wowj.jpg The left has always been a little janky since the ...

Re: How often should I wash my doll?

Is there a good way to keep the skeleton in good shape oiling, lube wise? Nila has a loose leg (since I got her,) but I just fear all my moving her will eventually wear out the skeleton.

Re: First attempts at tpe repairs with a hot air rework stat

I should be taking care of the "heat splits" in Nila too. I finally got my hot air station and I have TPE glue also. I think the glue might be the best thing for these types of splits. The heat gun was for future issues I might have. Speaking of stuff, I need more baby oil. https://www.dol...

Skeleton Maintenance

So I haven't had any issues with Nila's heavy ass skeleton, but is there a way to oil it up? She's always had a loose left leg, but I wonder if I shouldn't dump some oil down her neck hole. What's the best way to ensure the skeleton stays in good shape? I work in auto parts, so I have access to many...

Re: It's happened --- Nila has a tear.

So, my hot air station is on it's way. I don't have the room to do the heating, but I'll find a way. I'll have to watch all the videos I can before I attempt something like this. I was too scared to deal with the TPE glue on a larger scale, so heat gun it is. Hopefully it will get here quickly. I ha...

So is a cheap, easy to handle heat gun like this okay? https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Shrink-Tubings-Drying-Hand-Hold/dp/B071WLS26T/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1535429130&sr=1-1&keywords=heat+gun&refinements=p_36%3A1000-1200%2Cp_72%3A1248909011 And temp gun? https://www.amazon.c...

Re: It's happened --- Nila has a tear.

I got the hot air rework station off eBay for just £19.99, I got lucky as it was in a sale, usually the model I got is around £29 on eBay. It's quite small so doesn't take up much room, the beauty of these is that you can regulate the heat and air flow so less chance of causing damage. The IR tempe...

Re: It's happened --- Nila has a tear.

You may be encouraged to know that I've just done a test repair on one of my Sophia's wrists where she had a small tear very much like your Nila's. It worked like a charm! I followed Mishka's advice to the letter, putting the wrist in a relaxed state, cleaning the area well with baby oil and then a...

It's happened --- Nila has a tear.

Well, this is in a strange spot. Not her Vagina, not her breasts (although the fix on that went great) it's on her wrist of all places, and it's in a strange spot. TPE Glue able to fix this? Or will I have to buy a soldering iron to fix it? (I know it's extreme, but this is my girl were talking abou...

Re: Buying some TPE Glue from WM

I don't like to gamble with my own skill. I know I can do the TPE glue right. I'm not sure I can be happy with using all-purpose adhesive. Also, I plan on squeezing them boobies, so I want them at 100% The soles of her feet are something that doesn't bother me too much. It would take a lot to fix t...
