I've not done it either. but there's nothing in a Valentina Girl that would trigger the scanners. No wire armature, nothing like that. It would look like clothes when scanned or possibly a big stuffed animal. Unless you're traveling internationally, I'd say you're unlikely to encounter problems.

When you clean with oil, you don't need a large amount and you don't massage it in to the point of the doll becoming saturated.
