Although I am very interested, I would like to know a little more about the 'feel' of the doll. Does it have a soft skin and is part of that skin fabric? It looks like it on the photos we've seen and there do appear to be seam lines. Does it have a DS insert? I know that's being pedantic for a doll...

Really great news. With the boom in popularity, and of course different materials available, I wondered why it took this long, but it's sooooo welcome.
Hopefully all doll makers will make this move soon. And the price! I want two yesterday!
