Not sure how happy I'd be about receiving a new doll in that condition, but at least you know it can be repaired, and it's DIY.

I would also worn about seller Kingmansion, who uses Amazon to sell similar dolls at a fraction of the price! They're usually incredibly realistic and life-like. Even when they're more fantasy than real, they're still amazing.

FYI, on the odor for anyone searching. IME, it diminishes significantly after a month or two, then fades a bit more slowly and is barely noticeable.
