Re: My Size Barbie Mod - 3d Print files for Download

This round of printing worked great. Man don't get a CR-10, or any Chinese printer, unless you can tinker and diagnose problems. The whole pelvis is done, now waiting on the steel balls. Printed in PLA. Now printing a upper body I made from pictures of the My Size Barbie, but I shaped the body aroun...

Re: Printing a Mold with a 3D-Printer

Here is a picture out of the CAD program You could see the upper and lower part of the mould. I think it is possible to make every face printable, that is offered or made digitaly. You are able to create a face in the face studio of poser. But never the less the texture is mostly the biggest part, ...

Re: My Size Barbie Mod - 3d Print files for Download

(MannequinFan "Which one(s) are squashed?") pelvis.jpg Not sure why they came out squashed? Maybe I accidentally did this when messing with the scale buttons :p Noob Mistake. I hope the metal ball will still work? pelvis-002.jpg The top-part came out fine. I assume it is the rotating part ...

Re: My Size Barbie Mod - 3d Print files for Download

This is really where this project belongs here, so I'll mirror it I guess. Thanks! I think the print came out okay. I must of squashed them somehow, they are not a perfect circle. Well it's a learning curve, I guess. It is pretty amazing to watch the doll come to life :D I think I'll try reprinting ...

Re: My Afinia 3d printer has arrived!

Thankyou! I'll check out Manuel Bastioni Lab :) When I put in you Barbie attachments into Blender and lined them up with a modelsheet, I thought I could roughly mock up the body and head around those parts. For a quick prototype. 300 x 300 x 400mm on the CR-10 looks like it is enough to print the pe...

Re: My Afinia 3d printer has arrived!

Great looking Doll! :D Been away for awhile, too much Work   Glad to see you still at Abby. I finally buckled down and bought one of those CR-10 printers I seen everywhere. Wouldn't mind starting that Barbie attachment. Not really interested in buying a My Size Barbie, thought I try using...

Re: Study topic: Making a large ball joint type love doll.

WOW! Thanks for that link Sture! $198,000 yen - a little over $1,600 not bad. I wonder if you can even get those in the U.S.? Slush cast soft vinyl over a plastic skeleton. There you go RK! You just need to set up your CNC mills and kick out those aluminum molds! :D She'd be a nice doll but no way ...

Re: My Afinia 3d printer has arrived!

Project looking good :) Can't wait to see her completed. The arms do look stronger, but is there a way to use your idea as a skeleton, maybe, and have a covering of the joints to look more natural? or do what Hanson Robotics does and have a skeleton, covering and then a thin skin level? When I saw t...

Re: My Afinia 3d printer has arrived!

Good call on the lower eyelid. Looks good, and the design for the eye makeup really works and looks great. Very clever solution. Thanks AG! Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best ones. I'm getting really itchy to get this little rascal done. I've got a good hand model now with the Makehuman figu...
