New Factory => older style skeletons

By way of background, I decided to learn how to photograph dolls and purchase a doll for that purpose. The 132cm "Bel" from Dollhouse 168 seemed like a good choice except I wanted a doll that hadn't already been photographed as much as "Bel." Irontech and Dollhouse 168 used the s...

Re: Unboxing Sino-doll SI-172/H body style & S4 head

Hi, I added some screenshots from the videos in case someone can not view them. What I can see is that both shoulder joints appear to be adjusted completely floppy or not adjusted at all. I can not tell if there is an additional joint for shrugging. Maybe it is there, maybe not. I would have to cut...

Re: What dolls are these possibly knock-offs based on?

The two 168cm dolls listed in the OP appear to be the doll listed here in two different skin tones. The distributor is named “深圳市恋满天科技有限公司” in Chinese and “Shenzhen Lamantt Technology Co.,Ltd.” in English. They also distribute 158cm dolls , although I didn't spot the particular 158cm doll listed in ...

Re: idea to make dolls slightly lighter

“Magnesium Alloy 75% lighter then Steel.” But the strength to weight ratio isn't much different from that of steel, so magnesium alloy is only good at reducing weight in situations where a design using magnesium alloy doesn't need to replicate the strength of steel. A simple example of where this ap...

Re: Anyone ever shorten a doll?

If the cross section of one end of the section you cut out is different from the cross section at the other end, you are going to have a problem when you try to glue the TPE together at the end of the operation.

There is irontech store at aliexpress that sells the "starter version" of your brand. What is it, a version with compromised features, or simply clever marketing of the old models? The descriptions state: NOTE: This is only starter version traditional skeleton Irontechdoll,if you want to ...

Re: Trying to get to the bottom of this, who's dolls are the

I reread your posted and noted that you posted pictures of two dolls. The one I tracked down above is the one with the white wig. The doll in the earlier pictures is head #97 on the YL 160cm JJ Cup body. Also, I should mention that both these dolls are quite heavy, so you should think about how much...

Re: Trying to get to the bottom of this, who's dolls are the

One trick to identifying dolls is that most vendors use the same pictures for a given doll. I right clicked on one of the pictures you posted, and selected the "Copy image location" option. (This is in Firefox; other browsers might name this operation differently.) Then I went to google, c...

Finelovedolls is operated by a Chinese company that started that doing business in 2017. The web site went online in March 2017 but originally has a bunch of problems (such as pages with white text on a white background).

Thanks for that feedback. Of all the things you mentioned, the foot thing is the one that concerns me the most. I've seen a number of people recommend the standing foot option. I believe I recall them saying you can just take out the bolts, but as a "foot guy" I didn't like the idea of ho...

Re: This doll seems to go to be true, help!

Maybe the Heating is OK if they use less voltage so the doll doesn't melt? Reptiles have the same issue as TPE dolls; they die if they get to hot. If your hobby is reptiles, you spend a few hundred dollars on equipment to keep your reptiles warm without killing them. There is no technical reason wh...
