As mentioned test in safe area and no guarantees but at work we mark up everything with sharpies red and black and clean it off later with denatured alcohol. It might be worth a try.

Rubber, a urethane mix with some silicone making repairs a bit tricky I've heard a decade ago when I bought my two. Both of my Candyeighteens are near 11 years old and still in decent shape. A good mix, soft resilient foam with a tough flexible outer skin.
