As well the traditional skeleton with M16 connector as the upgraded skeleton can be attached to (different) hooks. These hooks are used in the factory to move the dolls around, hanging from rails on the ceiling.
I would leave it at that - hanging for short periods of time is definitely OK for the current dolls, but for permanent storage, laying in a padded box is probably still better.
However, the hinged skeletons should theoretically be robust enough to sustain hanging (opposed to hanging a 40+ kg weight onto a gooseneck).
