Hello Leather by Lee.
I see in your profile that you are from the USA.
Shipping to the USA is very expensive at the moment + it takes several weeks.
By creating a shipping label I have only the option to choose an expensive 5 kilo parcel with DHL (more expensive as usual) + an additional crisis risk fee of 16 € = total 53,00 €
The parcel will be in Frankfurt airport within 2 days (as usual), but then it takes several days for cargo loading it on airplane.
In the USA, the parcel will be regular shipped by USPS, not from DHL.
It is absolutely correct that medic equipment has the highest priority at the moment.
Because of the whole situation I can not recommend shipping from Germany to the USA.
Please get in touch with Jeff from Booty Call Dolls.
He is receiving a parcel (hopefully soon) with cold-welding adhesive.
About the Xylene hype:
About 4 years ago, a guy mentioned that the chinese TPE glue has the smell of xylene (dimethylbenzene = benzene ring + 2 methyl groups)
Therewith the whole xylene hype started, and it pops up from time to time.
What the guy smelled was toluene (methylbenzene = benzene ring + 1 methyl group).
Aromatic hydrocarbons, like toluene, xylene, and also other ring based hydrocarbons like tetrahydrofuran and cyclohexane are destroying the version of TPE material used for making chinese love dolls.
It is dissolving the hard block copolymers.
The structure of the used TPE version has small knots (styrenic blocks = hard block copolymers) that are connected with small elastic strips (soft block copolymers) to each other.
This structure can be stretched, pressed and twisted.
By using heat and specific chemicals, you are able to disconnect the structure = liquefying.
Therewith you are able to weld, reshape and smooth TPE.
But with chemicals that are destroying any of the components, you are creating a very weak version of the previous TPE structure.
It looks like you have done a welding, but under tension it rips apart, and therewith you see it was not a 100% welding quality.
Extremely health harming situation:
Aromatic hydrocarbons are able to cause
- cancer
- damages to organs
- damages to the nerve system
I'm never using such chemicals and in my opinion such chemicals have lost nothing in sex dolls and sex toys.
The industry is using small amounts of aromatic hydrocarbons within paint thinners, text markers, etc. because these chemicals are working as "enhancers" and they are very cheap.
That is the reason why the chinese TPE glue is made with toluene.
In Europe we have this situation:
- Toluol 2.jpg (44.37 KiB) Viewed 2562 times
That is the reason why doll vendors in Germany are not more allowed to sell the chinese TPE glue.
