As of now. we are running on a completely new and much faster web server.

It has been difficult to bring our latest system online. Where I could have had it up within a day or so in the past, it has taken me over a week. I'll explain in more detail later on.

For the moment, some things may not be completely working yet. This will change over the next day or so. I know that the Member Gallery is not fully working yet, and chat may be down right now, but I plan on hopefully working within the hour.

If you find a problem, please post a report of it, here in this thread.

The chatroom is now working. But you MUST select it from the Main Menu block on the left hand side menu, and NOT from the link within the Chatroom block. The "Login to Chatrooms" link option is still showing the domain name reference. but needs to refernce us by our IP address until the domain name updates are completed.

So, to use the chatroom for now, go to:
http://70.85.238.20/modules.php?name=Chatroom

Yeah, I agree with keithallen, and TDF DOES seem to work a lot faster than usual!

I noticed that the Matrix is still giving a "not found" error.
Not sure if that's on your "to do" list yet or if something needs to be fixed.

Be interested to hear about the "challenges" that you ran into with this cut over.

You probably already know this but DNS is still not resolving properly for many areas in the Forum and Album, however IPs are a workaround for the time being.

Congrats for the good job & I hope everything will be allright for a long time.
I just noticed i couldn't access to TDF with the former url www.dollforum.com (i use http://70.85.238.20 ) and something's telling me i' not the only one (very few people connected right now).

Yeah, my old "dollforum.com" bookmarks weren't working all day. I manually typed in the main url for TDF and finally got in, though. For now, I'm using this isp workaround.

Aside from the small glitches with the images and old url, the forum seems to be running fine. The chatroom is a bit buggy right now but I found a quick solution that I'll soon be posting on the Help Forum.

I'm using Ye Olde Dial Upe, so it's only gone from oozing lava to molasses, but it is an improvement!

I just hope that this makes your job easier in the long run. Now that you don't have to deal with apathetic slugs that just want to take your money and give you no service.
