Yeah it's funny when looking at Valentina option they even mention you may be able to customize a three armed doll! ROFL

They were joking around a lot on the site, but they were making a point that they are willing to work with you to customize the doll. I don't think Teddy Babes is that accommodating. Still, right now they are offering a base doll for $699, which is cheaper than what I paid for Eryka. Further it is US maid so I doubt the shipping would be more than $100. After shipping Eryka cost me about $950 to get to my door and there was the long wait too, AND they botched the shipping up on me too and she actually arrived two days later than she should have.

I'm still seriously considering a Valentina Girl. I mean, yeah the face, but I see they are offering smaller diameter heads and even ears now, as well as an open button top head for easy access to the stuffing. So, I'm thinking I may be able to mod that without too much trouble... famous last words.

I really like the new bubble butt option too. To me it looks more like an actual ass now! That and Rob is willing to mod them every which way to suit.

Of course, then now we have the new Teddy Babe with rotating leg/hip joints and their brown skin doll, Diana offered in deluxe form! Decisions.. decisions...

I do think it's really really silly for them to charge extra for ears... I mean, you want a doll to be realistic, it's not like ears are anything extra that most human don't already have.

6YE does offer free shipping when you buy direct from them. That is a good incentive as one doesn't have to guess the price. Overall, I have to say, this looks like a really good company, along with DS dolls. When I did my first go round with doll companies, it was these two and Z-Onedoll that were my three favorite picks out of Silicone / TPE dolls. DS had the only one over 5 foot tall that was under 60lbs and 6YE had a shorter doll 4'11" that didn't look like a child. In fact she has a pretty darn nice body. Yes, it is the African one I keep talking about. I tell you, if I had that kind of money...I would get her. She has probably one of the best faces I have seen on a doll. With her face being African based she naturally has a large nose and most important, a nice pair of large lips. That was always one thing I wished about Eryka is that I wish her lips were larger.

Isn't z-1 the one that makes those dolls with sounds and self heating options? Always wanted to try one of those some day!

Yes, now that you mentioned it, I think it WAS Z-Onedoll. As for trying them, well, the company is out of business. Another company bought them out and rebranded them. They make their own bodies and have a limited selection of heads, so by acquiring Z-Onedoll, they have now many more head options. I forgot the name of the company, I think it starts with an 's'. Oh yes! It is Sino-Doll, they are the ones that took over Z-Onedoll and dissolved the company.

So that is it, they phased them out completely now. That is a shame as they had some really nice silicone heads. Very beautiful ladies. I think Z-onedoll was the cheapest manufacturer to use Silicone too. However, I do remember the dolls being VERY heavy. They were the heaviest and they didn't have accurate weight figures on their site either. When there was a study conducted here on actual doll weights, Z-onedoll was one of the manufacturers that were WAY off. The dolls that they claimed to weigh around 70lbs were closer to 90. They had a doll that was 87lbs that clocked in at 105. So they were WAY off.

Yeah, I am remembering that all now. I remember Z-Onedoll having the nicest collarbones too.

EDIT: Getting back on topic with Cammy. I have a question for you. She has the dual mounting, right? In other words, do you have the screw on post adapter with her? If you do, I found out that this post is compatible with WM heads as it is an M16 thread, which is the same as WM Since you have a WM doll on the way, you could confirm if the head fits on the Dagmar body. If it does, then it might be better for me to purchase a WM head used and then send that to Yuri. Why used? Well, a new head costs $400 and I certainly wouldn't risk sending that overseas. So the main thing here is Yuri can make a body with an M16 bolt fitting, now his doll body can have additional head options as WM has more heads than any other doll MFG.

This is VERY promising news!

Cammy can use head from Stephanie and Sarah just fine, so I imagine WM head won't be an issue either... We'll find out!

Hmmmm, that is interesting. It seems that the M16 thread is more of a standard than I thought. This is definitely something I would like to bring up with Yuri as I am sure it might have been a request before.

I had put out a "want ad" in the Buy and Sell thread here and I am hoping to snatch up a WM head for a reasonable price. If I can get a nice one, then I can send it off to Yuri and he can match the skin color AND also get the dimensions for the neck connection. At least I wouldn't have to send Eryka's head out.

Yes, and then there is also the fact that in addition to WM, there are other doll companies such as JY that come from the same factory in China, so those heads would fit as well.

I guess it makes sense considering how so many dolls share the same finger issues it'd make sense they recycle other designs as well- including the m16 threading

Yes, it seems as if that is so. But then again, there were a few companies that used the WM form because they all came out of the same factory. So all of them had the same problems too.

Yuri just got back to me on that and he said it is pretty doubtful that he could put a thread mount on the dolls, but he wants to see it anyway. So I am going to have to unpack Eryka's head and take a few measurements of it when the family goes to bed tonight. If Yuri can do the M16 mount that would open that body up to all sorts of heads. I could get that dream WM head I first fell for back when I first was looking for a doll.

I think there was another doll company that used the post style, if I recall correctly, but they were VERY expensive.

Thanks! Oh! I did take a look at your Cammy and I THINK you have the same version I have, which is the more pink colored one. It is hard to tell from the pictures. At any rate, going back over this post, you and I certainly had some conversations here! Anyway, one thing I came across that I totally forgot about was the fact that TPE and fabric combinations are not good, that is why the Dagmar doll uses a silicone head. TPE has oils in it and that would leach into the fabric. So that was something I totally forgot about, and thus the M16 mount may not be such a good idea. DS doll does use a silicone head, BUT They have a totally different means of mounting and further, the heads run $600 to $800. So that is out of the question. Bummer! But I think Yuri can adapt Eryka's head using the post method for sure. All he would have to do is make the neck post shorter. Anyway, I have to dig the box out tonight as the family just went to bed. I will see if I have the energy to do so as I am already tired.
