Nice, it already works!

Will the servos be powerful enough to stretch the silicone covering as well? That might be something that'll cause you some headaches down the line.

The strength of the three servos is enough to delay the silicone by several millimeters (this is about 5 millimeters). I chose a design that will not change the appearance of the doll when breathing. There will be only visualization of breathing.

:!: :!: :!: :!: At last. I made a model of the body. The quality of 3D printing is not good, but I think all the basic details are printed. Now I'm starting to work on the body heating system. I will use thermo cord and a plurality of temperature sensors to maintain a constant temperature of 37 degrees Celsius.

Nice progress so far! What 3D printer are you using for this?

Are you thanking about a removable skin ?

In order to fix her when she brakes or have to replace the batteries.

I'm thinking you could probably find a face model somewhere in SFM land? I'm sure a number of SFM modelers have taken the model to Blender from there. Not to mention Studio FOW recently released their full 2B feature film.

Of course, 2B's face is typically half-obscured, so I imagine that's always a bit of a challenge.

Cool initiative, though. Interesting to see what the real budget is behind these robotic projects on a DIY level, as opposed to the for-profit/commercial level.

Hope you keep updating this project looks very fun. I used to have an idea about making breathing dolls since I do a bit of traditional sculpting myself, but the whole electronics part is completly foreign to me and it seems too bulky to fit on 1/6 scale dolls.
