Hello fellow Inventors and tinkerers...

I was hoping to make some pretty serious modifications to my doll(s). They are made from TPE and Im looking for the best tool to make large, fast, clean cuts.

Anyone have any ideas or experience with cutting TPE?

good quality scissors work fine

scalpels can be used for smaller cuts but it will never be real precision

Sharp scissors. I did breast reduction surgery on one of mine. At first, i used single edge razor blades held in place with kelly clamps, but that didn't work really well. Next time i may try to use mineral oil on the blade. In any case, once the cut was started, sharp scissors provided a much sharper and cleaner cut. Then I used a tacking iron to melt the cut edge to get it really flat. The tacking iron also is the best tool I've found to glue 2 pieces of TPE together.
