Would a silver "snake chain" necklace harm or cut into silicone, or is it generally safe to put on a doll?

I learned in science class that Silver is inert. Of course I had high school science over forty years ago, back in the early 1970's, though I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Silver? I have learned that the girls prefer gold and it does not react with anything :)

Well, I don't like gold and so it happens that my doll has very similar tastes to mine;-)

I'm wondering though if there is any concern that a chain necklace may cause abrasion or cuts in the silicone.

She Devil Lilith has a silver 925 (sterling silver) chain for her she devil pendant...

She is silicone, and had no issues with her chain or her skin....she has not taken it off since she got it 2 years ago.

I have lots of silver jewelry for my silicone ladies and no issues noted. They have some real gold also, hey, I'm a guy and like to see them wear pretty things.

As far as the metal is concerned, there will be no issue. As with all things that are harder than silicone it 'can' abrade or cut the silicone, but if she is just wearing it, no issue.

You just need to be careful it's not snagged on anything where it may pull hard against her when she moves, but that goes the same for just about everything when moving any doll.

Use your better judgement in regards to any jewelry that may have sharp edges or otherwise.
If your dolly is very soft or squishy you will definitely want to be careful either way

My silicone dolls wear silver jewelry without any issue.
