I am very early in the learning curve. For example, I originally planned to stand the doll up in the shower for her first wash. Between the weight and the stiff joints, that proved to be impractical. I ended up putting her in one of those plastic patio chairs. I have one of the larger (bathtub sized) shower areas, but getting in and out etc. was harder than I would have first imagined. As we have been continually warned; this is dead weight and the doll will not be able to lift a foot to help you.
Too early for me to determine if standing storage would be practical. My guess is that it would be iffy. There is a recent topic on doll storage that discusses flat methods.

I would never put the doll in the shower. I stand my dolls against the wall with foam cushion between her for support. This is suffice for storage and you can place her in the closet standing too.

does anyone know if this doll is way to soft where you lift her and tears? ,reason asking im afraid to buy any more dolls cause bought one from a well known vender 1850 140cm small breast ,it seems it has no strength in the t.p.e .are all new dolls made of this same matieral?
