I so have to ask this... I would have posted on my DS questions thread, but this seemed the more appropriate place to do so given the first lines of this post...

"Thought it was time for Sienna & Sierra to have their own thread
Sienna & Sierra share a DS 168 body which they have renamed 163cm"

I was on the DS site this evening looking at the 163 plus galleries, and when I click on each photo set listed as 163 the gallery heading says it is a 168. A bit confused here...

Is the 163 body actually 163 or 168? Sorry if that is a dumb question, but then again, it would be "dumberer" of me not to ask at the same time. Thanks!

I believe it is the same doll. They changed the name to the 163 because that is the actual height if you use the standard convention of measuring to the heel. Originally they measured to the tips of the toes and got a height of 168 and that is why it was originally called the 168. They changed their nomenclature after customers were confused as to why their actual dolls were shorter than they thought they should be.

What jibjibjub said is right. When I got my 2 DS they were called 168+ but after sometime in early 2016 DS changed 168 and 168+ to 163 and 163+ to clear up confusion on their height. The gallery pics you are looking at are from before the change so still say 168. It seems to cause more confusion than before. Either way they are beautiful ladies whatever you call them. I just call mine Ally and Nikki.
