TPE crater under armpit possible solution to repair

I had this happen with my doll. Her arm was sort of in the position so her head is on her hand and elbow bent so her upper arm was NOT above her shoulder as she slept by my side.
A crater is pretty tough to fix, right? It is not a tear where you can put the special TPE glue on each side.
Well, I LUCKED out and Samara78, the doll doctor would be proud of me.
I tried Permatex Flowable silicone windshield and glass sealer.
I closed her arm tight against her body just like you would if doing a repair on arm pits on a platinium silicone doll.

So how did it work? I thought usually silicone won't bond with tpe, right?

See, my girl has it too.. that pit was weaker than the other one (which hasn't torn yet), but this damage has not gotten worse in over a month so I'm guessing it's not going to get any worse? If it ever gets really bad i'll just melt some tpe into it.

Always make sure to clean tpe to be sealed up with rubbing alcohol isopropyl before you apply the silicone. May not work on all types of tpe.

Hopefully Jeff can keep us informed as to how this repair holds up over time. I have the same issue with my doll and have been afraid to attempt any repairs as I don't want to make the problem worse.

Ok, it looks alot better, but I still will need to do one more application.
I would say the 3 inch crater now looks like a 1/4 inch one

But it is bonding well and is curing up decently? I tried GE silicone caulks, all different tests on a doll and it did not work.

Doll studio has come up with a formula that is made a member here. I will be getting this kit soon and will inform of how things turn out

i repair my tpe doll wit a hot iron works great and i apply talc powder after its almost impossible to see if you do it right
