Screen width exceeded

TDF's appearance on my screen has always been very civilised . . .

And still it is . . . loading on my laptop screen width. . . . untill . . . I suspect, the advert banners load, the total width of which exceed my screen width.

This means then that I have to use the bottom screen bar to scroll across to find the link to other pages in a thread.

Well perhaps for some threads there aren't many pages . . . but celebrity dolls such as Lissa with 24 pages to her name http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=49268 are telling me that humans lazier than hard working people like her find it much too difficult to do all that scrolling. . . .

Best wishes

Speaking of screen width... This site badly needs to have a mobile friendly version for those who casually check in during spare time when not near a PC. It is 2016 and mobile support is kind of a big deal now. Dont know if its already on the agenda, but I will start working on my own responsive layout styles and injection script. I can share it via github if enough interest is generated.

I'm currently viewing with my computer and don't see bottom scroll bars when viewing that thread. My resolution is 1366x768. Thanks, for bringing that thread to my attention, though. Some very nice photos live there.

I understand the thought behind mobile sites, but I view this site with my LG-f3 just fine. I don't mind scrolling. When I go to zhongwa.net, I find the mobile version a little strange.

Make sure you're not zoomed in. If you're using Chrome or FireFox, hit Ctrl+0

I think the problem is that the three banner ads across the bottom take the number of pixels over 1024 in width . . .

I understand the issue. I'll check if we can do something about it.

Here is a screenshot showing all the wasted white space. It causes that usability no-no, the horizontal scroll bar.

I've redesigned the footer, so it wraps the ads to another line if the resolution is too low, the lowest vertical resolution is now 1024 pixels.

It would be nice also if hovering over thread titles temporarily popped up the OP's post. And if the current page number color could be differentiated from the others.

That first part requires lots of coding, it's not a function PHPbb has by default.

The current page number is already differentiated from the others, the current page is black, while the other pages are dark blue.

Doesn't seem to work here.

I think I know why. Although screen resolution is 1366x768, I don't use the whole screen for my browser, to left and right I leave about 120 pixels. Apparantly the resizing is done by screen resolutiion, not browser width.

Looks good now, thanks.
