"No I will not close the case untill it's resolved and I have the refund.

The eBay case does not in any way hold the money on paypal.

You know that's a lie and are trying to scam me, and I have written proof of that now."

Also, we wish your comprehension we have paid 10% commission for your transaction in eBay, as we will refund you all your payment, we hope the eBay commision fee can be returned to us too.

Awaiting for your response."

And the picture sent is showing my paypal transaction being held.
I will NOT cancel the ebay case, don't worry.

They do sound quite convincing. Good thing you know what you are doing and know the rules. I think that a lot of people would get scammed this way. :|

Hi!

You're doing fine. Ebay will close the case against them and refund the money. They will be refunded their commission too.

But in your communications perhaps you might possibly be slightly less abrupt. It's not just old fashioned notions of manners, which maketh man, but a matter of oiling the wheels of communication that enable people to allow enough ambiguity to feel more comfortable and take the heat out of disputes. This gives more room for positive outcomes.

The reason why they would not want the doll returned to China is that they would have to pay customs duties and cost them more.

Yeah Harem I know my last replies have been less friendly, but it's only due to they trying to scam me by lying. But I'll keep that in mind so it won't affect my case negatively. Thanks.

;-) Even with people who you don't like or who have done horrible things, being polite nurtures what is good in people.

I met a spectacular lady at an airport once and afterwards we worked together with her contacts selling a $100M island in the Caribbean. She was so spectacular when I met her I was dying of curiosity and I asked her what she did. She worked at the Casinos on the Riviera. She gave me an important lesson in life. She told me that her job was to make people happy about losing a lot of money.

So when people who have done wrong are treated with politeness, they cannot feel resentment against anyone except themselves for the inevitability of what's coming to them.

When cycling past prostitutes, especially immigrants who don't want necessarily to do what they do but have little option on account of poverty, I always give them a polite greeting. Treating them as human beings rather than animals will help them to be better people in due course. "You wanna . . . xyz" - "no - thank you very much - I'm married". But treating them with civility helps them to become better people.

Likewise the scammers selling fake prostitutes on ebay are themselves prostituting themselves and their humanity for money, on account of poverty and greed. They are hungry. Feeding them with civility is transformatory.

You've got a B or C grade doll, those are meant for the Chinese market. It's not a real fake because its still made in the same factory, yet the materials they use are different (formula mixture). If you're buying from an approved vendor you usually only get so called "export dolls" e.g. A-grade. Of course no factory will publicly admit they're doing this, but it's very very common in China ;)

Yep, Just tell them they can either refund or you'll raise the issue with ebay, since you now have communication saying they WILL refund you, I can't see ebay siding against you! Tell them if you have to raise the issue with ebay you will be leaving negative feedback too.

Raise the issue on the 20th, the first day ebay allows you to. Don't listen to their excuses they are going to do everything they can to delay you at this point. Do mention to ebay that they tried to get you to close the case before they resolved the issue and scam you.

when enough people raise such issues with ebay, their paypal will get frozen and ebay account canceled.

And yes, of course they don't want the doll back, it has 0 value to them and they would be charged large import duties because hey, 'free trade' and all = huge import duties. Didn't you know? :P

It would be really funny to send the doll back with the declared value of what you paid for it, lol. Likely cost them more in import fees then it costs you in shipping.

I've also checked my paypal account to confirm, the money was refunded.

I guess I'll be able to keep the doll as they have not stated they want a return of it.
Do I still have to pay the import charge of 150$? or can I get that nullified?

The seller asked me to close the case so that they can receive their commission back, it's safe to do that now right?
