Katherine ("Kate")

Post by Figure8 »

After posting about an Ebay ad that I was suspicious about, Joy from Beautiful Dolls contacted me and discussed getting a similar doll from her company. She answered my questions and provided information through messages until I was satisfied enough to make a purchase and a week later, Kate shows up at my door!

My initial thoughts are that her skin was very much like the phanta-flesh from my F**ck me Silly Mega Masturbator from Pipedream, in both feel and fragrance. I always thought that that toy felt great and so does Kate. Her smooth skin and rounded curves are a pleasure to look at and to feel; her butt and bosom are awesome!

She is heavy; Twice as much as my Tomoko doll (A Candy Girl doll from 2004). I am assuming that larger dolls would then weigh even more and that makes Kate a nice balance between size, cost and weight. She is going to give me the workout I keep telling myself I need to do.

I do have an issue however; Her neck bolt is always loose. The neck itself has a screw-hole and there is a short threaded 'bolt' that screws into the hole and sticks out partway. Then the head (which also has a screw-hole) gets threaded on the bolt that sticks out. Two issues: 1) In order for the head to be tight, she faces her back 2) The bolt comes loose, her head swivels way too easily and 'rattles' when she is going through certain motions/movement. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Is the bolt double ended? I had a similar problem with my 110.
Lots in the repair and maintance. Using a thin nut or a couple of washers may help.
Almost to add you may have to use a good epoxy to put the bolt back into thead. Pm me with pic or post them here.

Hello all. I will post a few pictures of my new sweety.

samara78, yes the bolt looks like that. I tried to affix it tight into the head-hole with a pair of pliers, but it still 'rattles'. If I turn her head until it is tight, no rattling, but as I said before, turning the head till tight means she is looking back wards.

One thing I must say: Kate's bosom is amazing! Goodness!

She looks very lovely.

I have owned 3 TPE dolls & I cannot tighten the head all the way on any of them either without having a backwards or sideways head.

Heh, I started out with a F Me Silly too! :P That's how I started being enticed by mysterious doll pictures.
Now I own 2 life-size dolls. (It's addicting.)
The whole body with a face that you can take care of is beyond compare.

That hair looks very good for Kate's cute face.
And my, what lovely, cuppable bewbs!

Hmm, what would happen if you took some wadded up rubber bands and stuck them between her neck and head?
It might stop her from moving.
Or maybe if you took one or two of those rubber jar openers and cut it to fit under her head.

So, an update. Kate has settled in nicely and I am pretty happy with her. Overall I have concerns about her longevity though. Although I take things nice and slow and gentle, she just seems . . . fragile. I am worried that her a part of her skeleton might break or her skin might tear. Although much more heavy, Kate seems less durable than my Tomoko. But that might just be 'new doll' concerns :)

About the neck bolt. I removed the head and then took pliers, for a good grip, and tightened the bolt into the head hole and that seemed to keep the bolt firmly attached to the head. Then, on the other end I put a single strip of masking tape around the bolt at the end and that seems to have kept everything tight and the rattling is either gone or barely noticeable.

Some have used hose washers to stop the head from spinning. Some have reported that paper tape works too, as you have.

I have found that the teflon type plumbers tape works fine.
It is not sticky so no residue to build up.
The stuff just adheres to itself naturally.
Add half a dozen or more wraps clockwise around the bolt thread and you will find the sloppy looseness is taken up by the tape.
Cheap, and simple to replace as necessary if the head is removed regularly.
