Cloth Doll Build

Post by Sersi »

So, I bought a Lovebody Ren doll; and it blew the seam on the first inflate. So, I cut her up and used the bits to create a pattern and got out the sewing machine and got to work. It's a work in progress right now she pretty crude and made out of cheap muslin material, and still has pattern lines visible on her. But I intend to translate my modified pattern into either spandex or lycra stretch material. If anyone has questions or wants me to post up the patterns let me know.

I created her without breast to allow for more options. With large flat areas of industrial strength velcro to attach breast toys or breast forms.

I'm quite please with how she's turning out so far. The Ren doll already had a pleasing shape. It did take some work getting the inflated plastic form to translate into cloth.

Image

One of the first upgrades I did was to enlarge the insert pouch and make it go further into the doll. Its re-enforced by a 4" diameter PVC pipe that's 8" long inside the doll's hip.

Here a couple of photos of the doll with the working "bits" attached.

I'm still working on the head to give her an oral function as well.

I believe ive posted this idea before, im really glad someone finally tried it! The love body dolls are patterned really well. You did an awesome job. You could always just create a flesh spandex body suit in stead of a whole new doll and then just put it on the doll and stitch it to the body down the butt crack and around the bottom half of the breasts. Great to see more people trying out cloth dolls. If you do sew spandex on your machine make sure to use a ballpoint needle.

Thanks for the comment! You thread was the one that finally made me get off my duff and make this. I like the spandex body suit idea, I'll have to look into that.

Hi guys. Thanks for the support!

So I added arms using 50mm doll joints.

I ended up not liking how soft the joints looked so I searched google images for cloth doll joints until I found a variation I liked.

So these are pieces of chipboard cut out with a copying saw and hot glued to the inward facing side.

Image

That provided a sew-able interface for the doll's sockets. So, I got to work with my seam ripper and opened up the upper arm and inserted the wood disk and then re-inserted the plastic doll joint.

I also soft sculpted the head and made it more human. She's got a 4"X8" PVC sleeve to accommodate an oral insert.
