This is a Rise miniBOOM wireless Speaker.

I decided on this speaker because it had excellent reviews.

Re: My first home-made doll.
I aim to create another enclosure for the bottom half of his torso for USB storage. I will make it large enough to install a mini pc. There is one available that comes with MS windows pre installed which will give me a wider range of AI voices to choose from. I probably wouldn't want to attach one to his body in anyway, but micro monitors do exist.

I hope so, because, once he is finished and has clothes on, I hope he looks realistic, otherwise that might be a disappointment to me.Docsgirl82 wrote:wow, he is REALLY coming together!

Re: My first home-made doll.
This link now has me wondering if I can find a very small and low profile motor that I could attach to the M16 neck socket to make my dolls heads turn left an right. LOL, as if I don't spend enough time with search engines to find things for my dolls.Velanah Torres wrote:https://www.spiderhillpropworks.com/Twi ... _p_21.htmlfreezenator wrote:What skeleton are you using?

You never know what is possible. With my resourceful mind, I often google, sometimes all day, till I find something that resembles the parts I needs.Leather by Lee wrote:This link now has me wondering if I can find a very small and low profile motor that I could attach to the M16 neck socket to make my dolls heads turn left an right. Re: My first home-made doll.
I have a brief update. I have created what shall be a box which will house a computer of some type. The pipes you see are conduits for wiring or usb cables. In the future, I may install a microphone and a wired speaker. Until I get the computer, however, there isn't much more I can do, as I need to know where I should locate ports for hdmi and ac power and what not, and I want those to be precise. For that reason I will have to put my tools down for a while, while I gather some money to pay for those endeavors.

Master says. "Don't forget about cooling vents and maybe a small cooling fan to move heated air out. Don't want whatever computer type you choose to over heat."Velanah Torres wrote:Hiya to those who are following this journey of mine.

Edit: Oh and maybe a raspberry pi would be a good computer for the doll. Small, cheap, runs relatively cool, and very expandable.

Re: My first home-made doll.
The first few pictures on the first page, ie, the male doll dressed in orange/red, sitting in a wheelchair is actually my first made doll. This cardboard/pvc skeleton/AI Bot doll is my second DIY project. Initially the skeleton was for the first doll, but that never eventuated. So I will have two versions of Manny. That actually works better, as they will perform different functions/roles.Sum_guy wrote:When I saw the post title I half expected to see a ball of rolled up blankets/clothes and a fleshlight (or FL Launch ) like my first "doll" but this is actually very intricate and well designed. Good job keep it up
