Having pondered the idea for a little while a post this morning cemented the intention, perhaps for this thread to be a "sticky" to help people when trying to choose which DS character they'd like. For that reason it's important to use their DS names rather than any personal names we have for our girls.

It might be an idea also to do a sticky thread for each of the body-styles naked, such as http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=143&t=63064 for the 158plus.

It's probably helpful too to try to stick to a full frontal view trying to find a look that's most commonly representational. However a character shot can be really helpful too. Recently I've done some photography of Sandy which has thoroughly confused my vision of her - many of the photos of her look radically different.

The portrait this morning that struck me was sKayla for the 145:

There could be more pictures of interest in these.

Yes - good suggestion - I will edit it in - and particularly as you are one of the only people so far working photographically with her. But as you get a nice definitive portrait in due course, add it in here!

We've certainly got some gaps to fill in on this thread - Ruby, Lilith, Alisa, JiaYi, JiaXin, Snowy, big Kayla, Helen particularly come to mind.

Your photos are great but in order for this thread to be as concise and useful as intended possibly more helpful on another or their own thread . . . The photo of Penny on the 145 is most certainly an important subject of her own.

Perhaps you might be able to edit above and I'll remove this response . . . ?

Um . . . portraits . . . are heads / faces . . . aren't they?

Perhaps in order for this to be a definitive and concise thread as a reference for heads mods might be good enough to erase all messages above which are discussion rather than contributing definitive portraits . . .

I think this is a fantastic idea Harem.
I'm pretty new around here, but I do remember my first few times lurking around the forum for more pictures of dolls to make the decision on my doll purchase, I had to click through all/most topics. Of course, surfing all the topics was fun - but a sticky'd go-to place for faces and bodies with links would really help things, particularly body shots as these are far less abundant on the DS site.

Anyway...guess that's just input. My Kayla hasn't arrived yet, so no pics from me.

Thanks. This was the idea behind the thread http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=143&t=63064 which I did for the 158plus body.

Perhaps if others might do similar threads for the other bodies we could as mods to make those threads sticky too for that purpose.

I hope your wait for Kayla isn't too long and that possibly you might be able to do the Kayla portraits for us! I have a Kayla head but she's the older type without movable eyes and the newer head is much more attractive. The non-movable eye versions tended to have eyes more closed, which worked well for Sandy but not so well for Kayla.

I may be able to help with some of them. For starters, here's Lilith:
Configuration info: Skin tone LPink, green eyes, non-DS wig; head mounted on 168 cm body (yes, I think body proportions are better this way).

I love the expressions the DS girls show. Even though I am not a huge fan of open mouths in general, YouYi looks so lovely. Almost like she is laughing, or telling you how happy she is.

So many happy faces in general too. Except for Thera.. She looks disappointed somehow.

This is why, I think, when I take my girls out on escapades they are greeted by people in a good sense of humour.
