How Do I Stick Velcro on a RealDoll Face?

The Velcro on my RealDoll Face came off. (She's seven years old). How do I put it on? I bought sticky Velcro, didn't work. Rubber cement didn't work, even a glue gun did not work. Which glue should I use? Is strong glue O.K., or will it ruin the face?

Sil-Poxy is your best option.

Yes, sil-poxy is the best bet, and to get an even better hold to the velcro pads, you can use a silicone primer liquid, which is usually available in hardware stores.

The reason for using this is to get a better adhesion. Sil-poxy works great in gluing silicone to silicone, but not that great with non-silicone materials.

Hi LBW,
You can also try permatex flowable silicone windshield sealer. Might be easier to find and a bit less expensive. Be sure to clean the surfaces with acetone and wait 24 hrs for the permatex to cure.

You have already the answer from KS and Alex and others, silicone adhesive and prep the surface with acetone first to make a stronger bond.

Clean out all of the old silicone from the velcro slot . clean back of face and back of velcro wait a couple minutes then spread silicone glue in the hole and apply the velcro
