It's 8 out of 10...the Faerie and Hope are the exceptions. Sometimes it's nice to see the mouth all the way closed for a sweet look.
It feels like Friday today!! We just came back from shopping for clothes, wigs, shoes, eyelashes...all the STUFF...it's always fun.

Re: Gaia
And yes, I am working on that piece everyday. It really is a joy to be able to create something new. Thankfully our weather has been excellent here and I am making clouds of plaster dust outside as I grind away on the new body. It is still a ways off however. Lots left to do.

quoted for truth......though all the girls are pretty, the ones with closed mouths are MUCH sexier....I know alot of guys have a "thing" for the functional mouth though.....not a deal breaker for me though....I'd rather they be as pretty as possible.

The proper classification would be a mulatto doll.uch wrote:Absolutely marvelous! She is at the top of my list for an African American doll, closely followed by Lovable dolls.
She has more caucasian features than anything else except for thicker/fuller lips and "darker" skin tone and even that is tadbit fair.
Re: Gaia
I look at her nose her high cheekbones and high forehead never seen Caucasian women with these features
I have seen Indian and Hispanic women with some of these features But never all
African women come in all colors believe that or not Some are light others are dark complexion

Re: Gaia
We cast another Gaia yesterday and colored her today. We did some different things for this casting that worked out well.
I still see folks commenting that there is a lack of African oriented faces.
Well, this is our first and I can guarantee more to come. It can be a very powerful look. We don't use scans. Never will.
Have fun, P

Re: Gaia
I think it's less of a problem of a lack of proper facial structure (as fuji's pic shows) and more of one concerning the skin tone the doll is casted in. Plus, I think the blonde hair hurts more than it helps.toonist wrote:Hi,
