So, give us a couple of days.
Thank You.

I don't want to argue, just trying to get my (what I feel is a very valid point) across.

Take whatever time you need, I look forward to a positive outcome for all. (God I hope that's possible !)

siliconelover wrote:Completely understood and I think that any of us that uploads photographs of our dolls knows and expects others to view, save and have fun with the photos and as long as someone else is not using your photos for personal gain or for commercialism it is fine for them to have and possess.
What you are stating there is clearly just your opinion. Also I don't think you are in any position to be speaking (using the word "us") as if you are representing the hundreds of users who have albums here. As synthyours said, nobody else's photographs belong to you.

I too don't want to debate this any further either, but as I stated before in my previous post there is evidence of abuse that warrants these protective actions to be taken by us. Unfortunately everyone is just going to have to adapt to a protection system (which will be reworked from its current state) no matter what opinions we have on the matter. And just curious, how can you claim a valid point about uploading and sharing when your album has only a mere two pictures in it total? Seems like your contributions don't equate to how much you take.

Again I do not want to discuss this further as I believe we have sufficiently stated what we intend on doing.

Maybe if you had some history here you would know and understand why my Doll Album at this time has only 2 photographs in it. My photographs and albums have been some of the most veiwed here when they were up. You know not of what you speak. Do some homework. That will answer your curiousity.

The only thing worse than a newie/lurker that thinks they know everything is a newbie mod/consultant that thinks they do.

That is EXACTLY right, that is why a vote/pole should be taken. By US.

It is more than my opinion, it is expected because that is the way it has always been.

We are working on a solution that will both prevent piracy and allow users to share photos with each other as they see fit. I will go ahead and create a poll for options in the meantime.

Vote in the poll!

I don't see what the problem is here. I want my pictures protected as best as possible and what the tech guys are doing is making the members feel safer. Isn't that what we all want?
I don't want my photos stolen. I have no problem waiting for them to do their job and I dont care how long it takes. I'll say no more period.

My Sincerest Thanx sy

I would like to add that I may be completely wrong in my veiws on this subject (compared to others although those few that I have spoken with, this is not the case) and therefore in a very small minority in wanting to keep it easy and able for us to share our photo's. I look forward to the pole results, I do hope enough members get involved.

Making us safer or taking away something that we have always had and enjoyed.

As far as what 'we all' want, I hope that the poll is participated in enough to find out.

What do you consider as having your photo's stolen ? Are you trying to tell me that you don't have some other members photo's saved into files on your hard drive ?

I have no problem waiting, read my post at the top of this page.

Since you asked. No I don't. I use them to post in a thread and then I go and erase them so they don't take up space on my computer.

Well that would make you one of very few I am sure. Personally, I am really into photography and have thousands of photographs on my computer. It is the main thing that I do with it. I can stare at one of Stacy's photograph's all day and continue to learn from the things I see in it. Alot of my photo's of bands are on others sites and I am sure on others hard drives as well. I like to share and as long as someone else isn't taking credit for them or using them to make money, I am fine with it.

I mean this isn't napster where millions of downloads of songs are taking place and the artists not receiving any compensation from them. We are 30.000 + strong in a world of hundreds of millions, and really just a few hundred that are active.

The only Doll Album pictures on my computer, are my own. I never download pics from the Doll Album to my computer, I just watch them online, if I want to.

I would still like to know what you consider having your photo's stolen means exactly ? What about with music ?? See how that works ???

Everyone should be glad that your shit is out there and anyone is interested at all. When your dead and gone, your legacy will live on.

I used to do some pro-am fetish photography. I sold a few photos at one point. I would occasionally post photos on a website. I didn't mind when someone downloaded a copy for their personal use. I went to a club one night and saw the photo hanging very prominently; this club was a for-profit venture. My photos were commercial works. Neither the model in the photo nor myself received any compensation for the photograph nor did we ever intend for that photograph to be displayed in that fashion.

That is what I would classify as theft.
