Doll Dollie

Here is an easy way to transport you doll everywhere. From up and down stairs to the back forty.
First I bought the two wheeler at Home Depot. They had several different designs, but I was looking for one that had big wheels and a way to add a hook to a center post.

I was able to find one that I could attach a piece of metal by bolting it in two places at the top of the handle and at the center rib. I also drilled several holes so I could adjust the height of the hook.Later I welded the brace on because the weight of the doll bent the hook.

I then added an aluminum plate at the base so the feet wouldn't fall back through the dollie. I also added the pad and bungee to help protect the doll during long hauls.
I made the whole thing removable so I could still use the two wheeler for other purposes.

I also sell the bracket along with other stuff here http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 65#p324765

Nice idea! Certainy better than a wheelchair for narrow/awkward situations, like stairs.

I wouldn't trust it as a stand though. Not unless you could somehow lock the wheels and widen the base for stability.

Oh,

darken her skin and get her a black wig and she would be a dead ringer for Nichelle Nichols' Uhura!

I am thinking about buying that bracket you make for the dollie Incred. From looking at the weld,it looks like it is tack welded where the corners meet.I don't know much about welding but I want to know if the bracket can last many years. If it is tack welded then how much would you charge me for a full welded bracket?

No worries the welds are very strong and the metal is hardened steal. Plus I welded it completely down the other side. This was a rough design. I can sand blast and paint it too.

Teddie Babes are light. Would you need a dollie? If you wanted to use one there would be no need for a hook so I would buy a regular dollie and use a strap to hold her on.

Much reviewed topic, but needed input as we all have ways of toting our gals around.
one way that is not given its credit due, is a Full Body Harness as such. around $100.

Great idea! Thanks. I happen to have a Dollie around and needed to move my "doll" . Now I see how to modify to facilitate its use.
