SLE oil leaks

Received my SLE 166K Yesterday. This morning I lifted her from the bed and I saw my sheets are stained very badly. She leaked and she leaked a lot... She also has a faint smell but nothing compared to TPE. My IT168 also had a smell and my Zelex (Pre-Inspiration) also had a smell but they never leaked. Im attaching photos of the sheets.

I’m wondering how it can be that the doll was in a lying position for about a month while it was traveling in a box and it’s still leaking after only 1 night in bed. Apparently they put some kind of special coating on it so that it does not leak during transportation.

Can you please tell which of your dolls has the strongest and slightest smell? And what brand of TPE you comparing with?

I cant really tell which one is strongest. I think the IT168. I had a 6YE doll a couple of years ago and she was a stinker. Thats what im comparing with.

Yep, can confirm. But I suspect this only really happens in the beginning. Over time there seems to be close to no leakage. You have to be really careful with clothing (or cloth in general) in the beginning as you will inevitably get stains on them that are difficult to clean.

I did not notice any odor.

Yep, can confirm. But I suspect this only really happens in the beginning. Over time there seems to be close to no leakage. You have to be really careful with clothing (or cloth in general) in the beginning as you will inevitably get stains on them that are difficult to clean.

I did not notice any odor.

Has anyone contacted Zelex about this, to get their input and explanation?

I’ll get my sle 164 next week. Maybe there is way to force leaking in order to get rid of it in future? For example to put her on waterproof sheets for some time… I’m also wondering does the skin feel oily and how long this period “at the beginning” continues?

Wash her with dawn dish soap. If anything can remove surface oils, dawn can.

I can't think of a way to force leaking. It does not appear to be affected by pressure on the skin or anything. It might be, but I never noticed it. There is a slight hint of oilyness; I suppose powder is the answer. The period was very short, 4-5 days. Waterproof sheets may actually be a pretty good idea.

I'm assuming that product has some decent degreasing properties. Regalur laundry detergent will also get the job done, but you may have to wash 3-4 times at higher temperatures.

I have the new 164G SLE and it does not leak at all.
