How are dolls shipped to the US?

I'm curious how Rosemary Dolls are shipped to the US.

I assume that once manufactured in China, they arrive by ship and go through US Customs in California. I THINK Rosemary Doll has a facility in California. Do all dolls ordered through RD come through this facility for inspection to make sure the order is correct, packed properly, etc? Or does this facility just handle "USA In Stock" items preordered and preconfigured from the various manufacturers?

Or, do the dolls get picked up by the selected shipper (FedEx, UPS, etc) directly at customs and start moving to the destination? I have a doll on order and it's complete. Just curious what the journey looks like.

Thank you for contacting us! If you opt for a custom doll, we will arrange for it to be manufactured in the factory, and then inspected, packed, and shipped to you. We ship directly from Hong Kong to the United States by plane, where we assist with customs clearance, so generally, you don’t need to do anything but wait. After clearing customs, we will have a local courier service, like FedEx or UPS, deliver to your address. This is why the official website may only show "label created" before customs clearance is completed; the package is already on its way to the US.

If you choose from our stock, these dolls are shipped by sea to the US and then stored in our warehouse in California. This is why it generally takes longer to update the quantity and availability of dolls in our overseas warehouse since sea transportation can take over a month before the dolls are available for sale. But don’t worry, because the inventory dolls listed on our website are already in our US warehouse, delivery generally takes just a few days. For customers in California, it’s even quicker, typically taking 2-3 days to receive your order, which is very fast.

However, please note that for dolls in stock in the US, we may not be able to ship directly to islands like Hawaii, as the domestic shipping costs are prohibitively high, sometimes even more expensive than the doll itself. Therefore, in such cases, we typically ship from China.
