Neck Hook Alterations

Hello, TDFers!

Just wondering if anyone did any custom metal work to change the size/dimensions of their neck or back hook used when hanging up your doll.

I am supposed to be receiving my doll with an M8 neck hook but the diameter of the eye hole is rather small to my liking.. feeling a bit uneasy as to how that small sized hook will be holding up almost 60lbs.

Looking for any feedback cause it's rather difficult to find this kind of info out there.

It's going to depend on the grade of the bolt (hook). If it's decent steel it can hold a couple tons. So the bolt isn't your likely point of failure.

What you should be looking at are the joint welds in the skeleton, and whatever you're hanging it off. Not to mention the TPE (or silicone) itself. Will the weight of the TPE cause it to pull away from the skeleton and tear.
