BTW. If you would like to turn off the Christmas Lights/Snow Storm/Santa Hat feature, go to your User Control Panel/Board Preferences/Edit Global Settings.

how do I remove those cristmas lights from top they block the search and also make irritating noise when they shatter.

If you click on your name at the top right of the page there is a drop down. Choose User Control Panel then go to the tab for Board Preferences. You'll see the options to change it there.

And for the love of Darkseid, and for the sake of the unwary, please have a link on the banners saying "Hey, what's with the special effects?" and that goes to the control panel, so people know how to disable them. I don't mind the snow or santa hat, but the smashable lights are distracting; plus, it isn't immediately obvious when it happens. I thought it was when you "mark all read" or successfully complete a reply to a thread; but it seems you only have to touch them.
