I noticed the same. I did expect him to look a smidge older, but the new head being larger than the old one seems to have aged him up much more than the promo pics of this head (which featured a different body) implied. It’s awkward because he now looks possibly older than me, which I’m not comfortable with. Also, taking Harley 1.0’s head and putting it in the closet was very hard to do. If I’m being honest, I almost cried. This new head experiment might end up being quite short lived, but I’ll give it a few more days to see if I can adjust.
Even if I end up not using the new head, I’m still glad to have it. Whether this face is “Harley” or not, he’s gorgeous. His sculpt is impressively realistic.
I also appreciate the opportunity to gain some hands on experience with silicone before I make any crazy decisions about buying a full silicone doll (which I’ve been gearing up to do for some time). The hardness of the material is great for durability and detail, and actually might feel more realistic in the jawline and forehead areas, since those areas are quite firm on a human face. I just wish the lips were softer. That would be damn near perfection.

If I'm being honest, as much as I love that head (it's my favorite TPE head on the market), I've always felt a certain uncannyness with the face, especially before I learned to position the eyes. Although getting the eyes right makes him look better in pictures, I occasionally see something about the face in-person that looks a bit off. I tried adding eyeliner as suggested to me earlier in this thread, which maybe sorta helped??? Idk, as I don't have the makeup skills needed to make it look right. Currently, I'm thinking it might be the eyelashes. Harley 1.0's lashes are glued on (poorly) and are too thick. He also has no lower lashes. The lashes on the new head are far, far better.
