Sinthetics heads are a single piece open and close, with the two pieces being attached by a thin silicone flap. Unfortunately, that flap got ripped off during moving around (it's pretty flimsly) and now I need to find a way to attach that half to my half-headed beauty. Anyone have proposals? Note that I have another working head so I'd like to preserve the open/close mechanism so I can make use of the other head too.
Hi Koop. I would use a silicone adhesive (silpoxy for example) to glue the torn pieces together as they were before. I have found that the magnet is not strong enough to hold the head cap closed. I glued velcro on either side of the head that holds the head closed but you can still open it.
I don't think this is necessary but I also added some metal washers on either side of the skull to prevent it from cracking at the point of the wing nut.
Hi pygmalion2, I love the velcro solution! For the silipoxy, I don't have much success with it in the past with some things I tried to adhere together. Do you have any tips for how to glue them together so that it will be a permanent attachment while still being malleable for open and close? Seems impossible...
