I should also mention I'm planning on giving her a removable insert that will include the inner labia, so when complete the vagina will have more detail than you see here.
Its nifty stuff, I like it a lot for this kind of work. It will stick decently well to most things, at least while its wet, but I usually try to work it all the way around so when it dries it has a mechanical lock. Its paper, so its not really sticky. If I were working on fiberglass I'd probably rather use something like "Magic Sculp" or another epoxy putty. Works pretty much the same when wet, smooths with water etc, but its very adhesive (being epoxy and all), and once its cured its rock hard and nearly impossible to break. I use it a lot for smaller sculpting it would just be a little too expensive for something this size.I will have to mess with it (Pronto) seems like it has good propertes.
Will it stick to most things like fiperglass.?
Thats true it is called clay, just like polymer clay is called clay but that isn't made from dirt either. Maybe "Das Pronto Air Dry Modeling Substance That has Clay-Like Properties But Is Really Made From Paper" Was too much of a mouthful? I guess I'm being a little too particular with my definition but I try to be as specific as possible, to avoid confusion. If I just said "this is made with clay" and someone else tried it with regular pottery clay instead of the paper stuff, the results might be unfortunate.every time I look it up its called clay

Thanks! I might try a more petite style eventually, but I'm happy with this for now. It seems like it has more possibilities for becoming other kinds of characters just by changing the head, and I like that.A very beautiful sculpt. I could see why you wouldn't want it looking too frail, but I wouldn't mind one slightly more 'frail'. I'm naughty. I admit it. It's awesome to see things like this come out. I really hope the doll community didn't contribute too much to your marriage ending. Although dolls are a LOT LOT LOT cheaper than 'real' women.
And no, the split preceeded finding out there was a doll community by several months, they weren't connected. I came across Taffy on Ebay one day and started investigating, and it led me to TDF. So thanks to Itsme!
I'm certainly not going to call it "normal", but it might be more a more widespread fantasy than you'd think. There are the Neo and Arte Tokio dolls of course, and I've got several publications devoted specifically to elf erotica, and then there's the very long-lived manga series "Bondage Fairies"... actually there's plenty of elf porn around to make me think its not so strange. For me, I think it might go back to one of the first porno magazines I managed to obtain, I couldn't have been much more than 12... think it was a Penthouse. Anyway there was a story in there about a guy who found this magic box and when he opened it he found it was full of little "sex fairies" that ganged up on him for some fun. I guess that stuck with me.Actually, I think there could be a market for these 100 cm dolls, but I'm not sure how many guys out there want to have sex with an elf.
Anyway, talking about who would want to have sex with an elf... check this out - these are surgically altered elf ears on humans, not glue-on prosthetics. Now THATS taking it seriously! It says there's been over a thousand operations performed (although a lot of what the site says is clearly bull).

A newfangled extravagance is spreading amongst the music-lover youngsters of New York, which, after invading America, is sure to conquer the whole world. Ears becoming pointed as a result of plastic surgery not only enhance the attractiveness of the face, but also improve the experience of listening to music.
A sign of the popularity of this operation is that in big cities so-called Faun-Clubs are founded one after another, where entrance is only allowed with pointed ears. The reverberating success of this new look is supported by more and more celebrities with pointed ears, amongst whom we can find not only musicians, but, for example, models, as well.
The creator of this operation is a Hungarian plastic surgeon, Dr. Lajos Nagy, who is currently practicing in New York, and who is soon going to introduce his new method the first time in Europe, in Hungary.
Make your hearing perfect! Accentuate your personality! Be amongst the first music fauns in Europe!
just call it clay.. who cares. Most polymer clays (like FIMO) is called clay also, but has nothing to do with sand....Crazyhorse wrote:Thats true it is called clay, just like polymer clay is called clay but that isn't made from dirt either. That 'made from paper' is mostly the reason why smaller doll makers (till 40cm) don't like DAS, but use FIMO or even special Doll clay (FIMO DOll, Premier or La Doll... I use Premix, a mix between La Doll and Premier). 'Paper clay' is to 'fiberess', which means little details are difficult to make.
Respect that you did it with DAS clay! Rather 'heavy' clay and dries quite fast....

No, just indications of shoulder blades. I've thought about ways to attach optional wings but I think the simplest thing would be to just add a small patch of velcro to the back of the finished doll.johnb wrote:Are those raised squares on her upper back attachment points for fairy wings?
Ok then lets just call it clay. I don't think there's much room for confusion over what I used anymore. I've used fimo (and sculpey) extensively, They do hold small detail much better than Das, but can't be sanded to shape the same way and I'm not looking for much detail here. Also expensive on this scale (it took about 8-10 lbs just for the surface), then theres the need for an oven big enough. La Doll is ok but I prefer epoxy putty like Magic Sculp as mentioned before for smaller, detailed work like BJDs, and thats what I 'm using for her face. And you're right Das is a little fibrous but I have a trick for getting the surface smooth and hard as glass once the shape is final. I'll post a few more pics before starting the mold, to show the difference.ust call it clay.. who cares. Most polymer clays (like FIMO) is called clay also, but has nothing to do with sand....

Well the body has had its finishing touches and is ready to mold, and the head sculpt is close to being done too, but unfortunately real life has intruded as it tends to do and the whole thing is temporarily on hold, probably until after newyears. I have a guest staying for awhile who really doesn't need to know about this particular project so its been put out of sight.GrimStrike wrote:Any progress?
Kinda eager to see how she turns out. Only seen one other elf/fairy doll at 4Woods.
The head is a little oversized for the body similar to the new Boytoys, but with a more anime look. Still fiddling with the eyes and nose but I think she's going to be super cute, at least to those that like that sort of thing
This picture is NOT my sculpt, but it is the same type of smaller BJD head that I am using as a reference for my model. I'm sure it won't be exact but I think you'll see the resemblance.
Thanks for the interest, I'll try to get some pictures up ASAP.
Its a very interesting story.
I read / discovered it only bit late, but better late than never.
I've been tryng to sculpt stuff too, but got always the "clay problems" it breaks.
When using the DAS clay with an armature inside you will not have this problems.
Its a good idea.
In my youth, I've clayed with DAS clay, this stuff is sold in the Netherlands too.

That site looks like its fake. Pages that reference "Faun clubs" are just copied text from modernplasztika. Also the main site uses stock photos.Anyway, talking about who would want to have sex with an elf... check this out - these are surgically altered elf ears on humans, not glue-on prosthetics.
