Got an idea? Need an invention?

The key word being "used". I am as likely to buy a used doll as a used condom.

The reason why i started this thread is to check if anyone had any input, and most of you had. The thing here wasnt "how can i build a sexdoll for $1.99" but more "how would it be possible to make a GOOD LOOKING, high end doll for slightly less than a real high end, purpose built, silicon doll"? (Money is not the main factor, quality is)

True, if i had millions i could buy lots of dolls and "play" with them all the time, but i am not quite ready to take the jump from a latex doll to an expensive silicon doll that costs as much as an apartment in the suburbs, even if my current bankstatement says "Go on, get yourself a Jenny or Kaori RD now!".

It seems to me that the big difference between them is the material of the body. A mannequin (every one I've ever seen) is hard. Some have arms and legs than can be rotated a little for poses, but the body is a hard shell and there's no give at all. Whereas a high-end sex doll, whether it's a solid silicone or a Japanese foamie, is going to be softer and will have some give.

The mannequin may look great, and it'll be easy to move around, but would it be good for sex? I don't know, but I think not.

If you took a mannequin body and put a layer of padding around it and covered it with a body stocking, and put joints in the arms and legs so it had a good range of movement, you might end up with something that's light, physically attractive, and usable.

I had no idea you were a connoisseur of mannequins, lovingchanj. :D

I like this one:

I'm not so sure I would care to modify them for sex, even if I didn't have a doll, but for having a feminine "presence" in the room... hell yeah!

An interesting mannequin site

http://www.sexymannequin.com/
Traceter and me have bonded. It happened quite magically when I looked into her eyes about 8 0'clock this evening; 12th August 2020. She looked at me, and even seem to regard me. No longer did she look through me or past me. Just like in AI, Traceter has imprinted herself on me. And how I welcome, SO MUCH, this!

I bought a used Superbabe from Mark in 2003. If a doll is cleaned up right, there is no problem in my opinion. Buying a used doll, cuts the waiting time down to next to nothing, while saving alot of money off of a new one. I myself can't afford a new Real Doll, or simular doll, but I know alot of people want a doll that hasn't been used. The price of a high end silicone doll, is equal to what people used to put down for a house!

Agony,

I've been thinking about your question for quite a while now.

I suppose the first consideration for you is cost (money and time) vs. benefit. Only you can answer that one.

I think a lot can be done. My big problem here is that I can't figure out how thick the 'shell' of a fiberglass mannequin is. So I cant visualize how best to make cuts, minimizing damage.

Below is a link and some photos for a site showing a guys work in Mannequin Makeovers. He's accomplished a hell of a lot with just the painting....I'm truly amazed.

Skin
Smooth-On.com might be able to tell you about how you could get silicone or latex or something to adhere to a fiberglass skin (I'm assuming that all the modern mannequins are now fiberglass)

Eyes
I don't see why you couldn't put acrylic eyes into the holes you carefully cut within the eyelid edges. Then paint eyeliner and install fake lashes top and bottom.

Boobs
It's conceivable that you could use the existing chest as a 'positive' for a mold. Make a boob mold. Pour Silicone boobs. Then cut out the old boobs and install the silicone ones. Tricky...but conceivable.

Easier...buy some Danni Ash boobs or some others you like (Goldman's???) and install them.

Bum/Vagina
Similar ideas to boobs, but this is a critical structural area. Use fleshlight or one of the popular Japanes "boeing" inserts?? or just figure out how to install a premade pussy/ass combo???

Moveable Joints
You'd want to start with a mannequin that had a pose that didn't distort shoulders/hips/knees/other too much. That way she'd look more natural in various poses (some mannequins, for example, have the shoulders thrown way forward in a sort of "attitude" pose...you'd want to avoid that)

I'd think that, if you studied Japanese Ball Jointed Dolls, you would find inspiration into how something rigid (well, rigid parts) is transformed into a very poseable piece. As well, study the Japanese love dolls that are not contiguous silicone pieces. You don't have to engineer their types of joints...I bet you could do a lot with bungees.

I can envision something like this: you make an angle cut in the hip, separating the top of the thigh from the torso. You use fiberglass (or similar) to round off the top of the thigh...now the thigh top sort of fits in the hole in the lower torso. You draw it up from the inside with a bungee (cut her head off to get inside...see below)...etc.

Poseable head
Carefully cut the head off at the top of the neck. make a rounded removeable cap for the neck top...or do something else...the idea is....to figure out how to get the head to sit "perched" on top of the neck so that it wil go left right and up down. you can cut a hole in the top of her head (a wig will always cover that) to get in to set up your rig that holds the head on....again, maybe a bungee.

Take a look at this guy's pages. Very informative!

Be sure to look at his "Before/After" section

I would wholeheartedly recommend newbies to the doll hobby with little or no cash saved to start with a mannequin.

It is incredible fun to have beautiful mannequins around. Dress them as you wish, talk to them, brush their hair, caress them, kiss them - all no problem and for cheap money too. Have sex with them? That's the one thing that dolls do better!

Here's some of my favorite mannequin sites:

hi there. i have found a mannequin which i have bought from a site called www.traumpuppe.de which is a german mannequin site. the mannequin has moveable arms and legs and is dead sexy. she is made by a company called moch and is a lot heavier duty than most mannequins. she was £230 pounds to buy approx. 400 dollars. the site has some other fabulous mannequins and the person that runs traumpuppe is a pleasure to deal with.
