Wasn't sure where to post this but it's interesting what is possible.

Karen Gillan is not carrying Chris Pratt on wires--it's a 35lb lifelike doll!

Of course it's possible. And the manufacturer who makes a good doll that light will get more sales than they can handle.

The parameters for a movie set doll VS a doll were used to / expect ,are two different things.
A movie doll doesn't need to feel a particular way or look a certain way under clothes .
Just the exposed parts need be realistic .
The legs could be low density foam with a thin wire for all we know as well as the trunk.
The arms and head could be silicone shells stuffed with cotton .
I'd love a light weight doll just as much as you guys ,but I also want her to feel good against me.
