Re: Wrong adhesive?
TPE is a whole different story!
As you have attempted this on fairly solid part of your doll, careful use of mineral oil on a swab stick should help lift any residue from the doll
As for the psoriasis a gentle working with a temperature controlled hot air gun should do the job
Practice on scrap TPE first

Re: Wrong adhesive?
TPE can be smoothed with heat so you could use a hot air soldering station or small heat gun to heat the area and re-sculpt it. I had a repair on a large area of the shoulder when I first got my 140, my solution was to use a small folding travel iron, I applied lots of mineral oil, put waxed paper over it, and ironed through the paper. It took a few times to get it smooth.
The doll manufacturer might be able to get you a block of the correct color and composition TPE if you need to add any.
In the future a tiny drop of super glue will hold stuff, but there has to be a better way, like rooting it the way a plastic doll would have.
There are precautions to take with melting TPE, like good ventilation and there's a ton of information in this thread:

Good luck!
